Purpose of This Lesson

To remove false beliefs about demos.

The Typical Failed Demo Pattern

Most failed demos:

  • Start with login and menus
  • Show everything “just in case”
  • Answer every question immediately
  • End with “Any questions?”

This creates:

  • Cognitive overload
  • Passive audiences
  • Price comparisons
  • Decision delay

The customer leaves knowing how the system works, not why it matters.

The Real Purpose of a Demo

A demo is meant to answer one question only:

“Does this solution clearly address our problem in a safe and practical way?”

If the demo answers anything else, it is noise.
